Our Vision

The remarkable healing led us into looking further into the place of healing ministry in the normal Christian life. We began by studying the scriptures and reading a range of biographical literature.

One of the first scriptures to impact upon us was Matthew 10:7-8,

And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.

Give away what you have (just) received!

We learned much from the books of people like Bill Johnson, Heidi Baker and James Maloney. The God’s Generals series by Roberts Liardon and other biographical works were so helpful to us. Learning about the lives of Smith Wigglesworth, John G Lake, Kathryn Kuhlman, Maria Woodworth-Etter, William Branham, Oral Roberts et al. has proved to be truly inspirational.

But it was viewing a video of the ministry of Charles and Frances Hunter that really captured our attention. Apart from having a remarkable ministry as healing evangelists, they were pioneers in moving away from the ‘big name’ platform ministry towards encouraging ordinary believers, like you and me, to step out in faith. “If Charles and Frances can do it, you can do it too!” was their famous saying. And it is so true!

It is this message we believe God wants to be share with you and the whole church family.

From Cathy...

I have learned that experiences in our personal lives invariably impact our faith and behaviour and we continue to discover that God wastes none of this when He ministers to his precious children through us as His co-workers. You will remember that Jesus preached in the synagogue from Isaiah 61 in Luke 4:18-19,

He has sent me to heal the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind. To set at liberty those who are oppressed.

Both of us have experienced in our own lives that our mental and spiritual health affects our physical well-being. I feel a particular calling to bind up the broken-hearted, in the name of Jesus. I have been privileged to see God work miracles of breakthrough and healing in people’s minds and spirits which have resulted in the healing of their bodies.

I have also received training in the Bethel Sozo ministry, which aims to connect people more intimately with God and so bring inner healing from wounds and lies that can create blockages to our full potential in Father. We both thoroughly recommend this powerful ministry, encouraging everyone to make enquiries about it.

It is incredibly fruitful in its own right but Holy Spirit often directs me (and others) to use the different Sozo ‘tools’ when ministering outside of a Sozo session.
